Growing Leaders to

About The Leadership Institute

Cohort Learning:

The Leadership Institute is a virtual "School of Disciple Building" patterned after Christ's ministry with the Twelve and implemented in small cohorts of leaders in the local church. The Leadership Institute focuses on a transformational discipleship process supported by strong relationships with mentors and other students as well as an approach driven by rapid application of concepts.

To begin leaders can gather a cohort and begin a one-year journey of growth to begin discipling others using the methods of Jesus. Each Cohort provides all the resources for leaders and students as digital downloads.

Who Should Enroll in Cohorts?

The Leadership institute is designed for progressive leadership growth. It is an ideal leadership development platform for pastors, elders, missionaries, lay leaders, and believers interested in ministering to others. You can enroll as a "student" taking a course, a "cohort leader" leading others through a course, or a "course mentor" responsible for personally mentoring a student during a course.

Online Webinars, Groups and Single Courses

The Institute also provides online training, single courses and group experiences through live online webinars and video. The online groups and seminars work alongside the Leadership Cohorts providing special emphasis on a particular topic or theme.  We recommend each person begin by taking the Christian Growth Inventory so they can select a course that fits their needs.

The WDA Leadership Institute combines modern technology and decades of discipleship and ministry training experience with Jesus' approach to building leaders to produce healthy, motivated disciple builders who will serve the communities they are already in.

What Makes the WDA Leadership Institute Different?

Lessons are built around the 5 disciple building initiatives of Jesus. WDA refers to this as the R-CAPS architecture.

R- Jesus built relationships with his disciples.
C- Jesus gave the disciples progressive content appropriate to their maturity.
A- Jesus held the disciples accountable to do truth, not just to learn truth.
P- Jesus prayed for his disciples.
S- Jesus put the disciple in situations that stretched them and facilitated growth.

How Does it Work?

Certificate Courses are about 50 weeks long and are built around relationships. Students interact deeply with each other in cohorts, with cohort leaders, and with individual mentors throughout the course.  All content is arranged progressively based on the flow of content Jesus used. Each lesson is created with application in mind, and accountability is part of the group experience. Students will develop a personal disciple-building ministry during the course, catalyzing growth and preparing them for higher levels of ministry.

Accelerator Courses are primarily for high-level leaders who wish to be cohort leaders and develop their leadership teams by completing an accelerated version of the course themselves. Interactive live training ensures leaders will have the confidence to replicate the WDA Leadership Institute process with their own teams. Video and audio resources provided in the event that live sessions are unavailable.

Online Webinars, Groups and Single Courses are focused on giving leaders and participants introductory content as well as ongoing training. These courses combine live online groups and video training.
